Pendant " From Africa to Canada "
This pendant was created and handmade by myself.
It is a one of a kind.
The pendant is done with 1 tanzanite, 1 ethiopian opal and a very, very nice ammolite setted in fine gold (24 kt).
Ammolite is a multi-coloured gemstone derived from the fossilized, extinct marine ammonite shell.
They are found in Canada (Alberta).
Ammolite, like all gemstones, should be cared for in a gentle manner.
Ethiopian opals are hydrophane they are getting translucent when they are wet and get their colour back after drying.
The 3 stones are natural.
The setting is done in solid 24 ct gold ( for the ethiopian opal ), for the others in silver.
The wires ( loops ) and the bottom of the pendant is done in 925 silver.
The weight and size of the Tanzanite is: 10,65 ct; 1,4 cm
The weight and size of the ethiopian opal is: 3,15 ct; 1,85 cm x 0,77 cm
The weight and size of the ammolite is: 16,65 ct; 2,73 cm x 1,72 cm
The size of the whole pendant is: 7 cm x 2,12 cm
The gold and silver surface is hammered and scratched and not polished
The total gold weight is 0,7 gramms
The silver weight is: 5,2 gramms
